An emotionally powerful story based in the early to mid ‘80s. Battle of the Bands follows the journey of Archie and Lucy Saunders. They leave the familiar comfort of their home on their farm in Victoria, Australia, to start new amongst the hustle and bustle of North Melbourne in a private Catholic school. But the memory of her mother’s heart-wrenching death from a tragic horse-riding accident haunts Lucy, and she spirals out of control into the deep, dark, twisted underground in Melbourne, keeping sinister secrets that are hidden behind closed door. Meanwhile, Archie reaches for the stars to win the Battle of the Bands competition and fulfil his dream of following in his father’s footsteps of becoming a singer in a band.

There's only one thing stopping them, an arch-rival band who has the same agenda. And Lucy’s descent into destruction.
